The DOT date code
The last four digits of the DOT code are the week and year the tire was built: 2423 means week 24 of 2023. Many tire makers advise yearly inspections from 6 years old and replacement by 10 years, whatever the tread looks like.
Load index and speed rating
The number after the size is the load index, the most weight one tire can carry at full pressure. The letter is the speed rating. Replacement tires should match or beat both figures from your door placard.
